Urban Terrorism

The Recent attack in Mumbai is nothing new keeping in mind that we have already had 19 terror attack in the last four years.But what is note worthy is that it was the beginning of Urban Terrorism for the first time.10+ terrorist killed more then 190+ dead and more then 450 people Injured. The ease with which the attack was carried makes one feel that the home work was well done.Then the next question is how well the local police was prepared.I would say that it was good for nothing and the fault lies not with the policeman but the Lawmakers and planners.The kind of ammo and the weapon the terrorist had was no match for the local police and ATS.They were sitting duck.The weaponry poss ed by the combined force of Mumbai police is not good enough for such a situations.
Next the Intelligence gathering was good but not used by local unit of Mumbai for some unknown reason.RAW clearly gave all the details as far back as third week of Sept2008 but it was shelved for some strange reason.The spotter's deployed by Mumbai police did not report ASAP of the landing of the 10 terrorist and hence such high causality.
The next question is that the home ministry should have taken a hint from the Marriott hotel attack in Pakistan and it was a matter of time that Marriott was to be followed in India as the terrorist was on the run in Kashmir due to Vigilant Forces.
We need to cut across party line and give go head for settingp up of a Central agency for ensuring that this kind of attack can be avoided.The chief of such a agency should report to PM directly without the interference of Regional political party in power.
What would had happened that 100 terrorist had come with Such kind of ammo.

The Recent arrest of serving officer of Indian Army and Hindu Religious leaders on Malegoan boom blast brings to centre stage the definition of Hindutva and its guideline.In past we have organisation like RSS and VHP but never have they been found in such conspiracy.Then the next question is what is it that drove these people to take such ext ream step.The answer can be best answered by the accused only.But such step will not help the cause of Hindutvaism on a world Platform and as torchbearer of peace and spiritual rearmament.
